A Special New Orleans welcome from the founder

Dear New Orleans,
If you're reading this, you've found one of our Mystery Mail invites. New Orleans, this is a big moment for me. You see, Mystery Mail--the very idea, in fact--actually was born in your fair city. I was living there when I thought up the idea to have strangers from different cities/states/countries mail each other packages. Sort of like a penpal, only using objects instead of words. New Orleans, you were supposed to be the city where it all started. I waited so long to include you, New Orleans, because of the post-diluvian postal problems. And now now it is with great pleasure, reverence and fondness, New Orleans, that I welcome you to Mystery Mail. Have a looksie. Sign up for Mystery Mail. New Orleans, folks from around the world would LOVE to receive mysterious packages from you especially.

Love,
The Mystery Mail founder

How to become a Mystery Mailer
Mystery Mail allows you to exchange mysterious packages with a total stranger. Who wouldn't enjoy receiving a mysterious package from a total stranger???

Here's how it works:
1. Send the information below in an email to:
mysterymailparticipant@yahoo.com
2. Your info will be thrown into the random mail generator (i.e, my biggest shoebox) and matched to a mystery mail participant whom you do not know.

3. You and your mystery match will receive each other's name and addresses. You
mail your match a small mystery package filled with strange and curious items (e.g., headless Barbie found on a park bench, a band flyer, a two-headed stuffed animal, etc.).

YES! Bring a little mystery into my life by matching me up with a complete and total stranger with whom I will exchange a strange and curious package!!

Would it be alright if you were matched with an international mystery mailer? The postage would be pricier, but the packages promise to be full of international intrigue! YES? NO?

Any specific package content restrictions you wish to be honored by your mystery mailer?

Mystery Mail's Maiden Voyage to Boston

Mystery Mail will make a first-ever visit to Boston early February. It's part of the "let's boost East Coast participation," which is a subsection to the "let's go someplace really cold and get a good cup o'chowdah" project.

Wicked fun times will be had by all.

Any good coffeehouse, tavern, or restaurant leads? Drop us a line at mysterymailparticipant@yahoo.com to let us know.

Mystery Mail Campaign: Amsterdam (again)

The founders of Mystery Mail have just returned (yet again) from Amsterdam.

It was nice to end the year with a flier distribution campaign in Amsterdam. Why Amsterdam, you ask? Why not. Also, Amsterdam is a big travel hub/gateway to Europe for visitors, so you get exposure to a lot of travelers who can help spread the project around the globe...also gives travelers a nice project assignment for the length of their trip!

Happy Holidays from Mystery Mail.

This year, we strongly urge you to do something you've never done before...provided it hurts no one else.
